Dr. Sheldon H. Genack, MD, FACS, is a highly accomplished physician with dual board certifications in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery (commonly known as ENT) and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Genack completed his medical education at the SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1988. He was honored to be inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, which recognizes the top 10% of graduating medical students. Following medical school, Dr. Genack pursued postdoctoral training with a general surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York from 1988 to 1989. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center from 1989 to 1993.

Throughout his residency, Dr. Genack developed a keen interest in plastic surgery of the face, head, and neck, leading him to pursue additional training through fellowships with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He completed his first fellowship at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by a second fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he trained under world-renowned experts in facial plastic surgery procedures.

Dr. Genack currently practices at his office in Hewlett, New York, with staff privileges at Long Island Jewish Hospital and serving as the Chief of Otolaryngology at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. He holds certifications from the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition, he is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
